Position

Purpose:

Provide medical and surgical care to companion animals, educate clients on responsible pet care, and uphold clinic standards consistent with our mission and values.

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
• Active or obtainable Mississippi veterinary license.
• DEA/BNDD eligibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, courteous, and respectful attitude toward clients and team.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs independently and over 25 lbs with assistance.

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose disease or injury.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, collect and interpret laboratory samples and imaging.
• Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgeries and prescribe medication when appropriate.
• Provide counsel around pet end‑of‑life care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, clinic policies, and governing regulations.
