Job Summary

Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.

Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto – 7601 Southcrest Parkway, Southaven, MS 38671.

Full‑time schedule. Days and hours may vary; rotating weekends are included. More details upon interview.

$14.74 per hour to $15.00 per hour.

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using a burnishing machine, tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam‑clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
