This is a temporary assignment.
Major Responsibilities- Serves as unit receptionist, directs patients, visitors and others. Includes, but not limited to, heavy telephone intake, patient registration, booking appointments, obtaining client data, typing correspondence, managing phone and foot traffic, scanning documents into EHR.
- Participates fully in shared office tasks: receiving visitors, scheduling appointments, reception duties and filing.
- Provides back‑up coverage for other support staff and assists with coverage for other sites as needed.
- Communicates to all new clients: clinic processes, expectations, & responsibilities.
- Provides estimates for services when appropriate.
License/Certification/Education
- Required:
Equivalent to high school diploma. - Preferred:
One‑year advanced education and training in the business/secretarial/medical field or equivalent experience a plus.
Experience/Skills
- Required:
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and effective communication.
- Must be able to multitask and maintain a calm demeanor.
- Must possess a sound knowledge of business systems and office procedures.
- Preferred:
- Bi‑lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- At least 2 years of office experience, medical office experience preferred. Must include typing 40 wpm and handling high volume telephones.
Work is considered sedentary. Position requires work indoors in a normal office environment.
