OverviewYOU Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Assistant Program Director II to support the leadership and management of our Family Resource Center (FRC). This community‑based program provides education, resources, and support to families involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family support services, child welfare systems, and experience working with vulnerable populations.
Pay: $55,000 - $60,000 per year
Responsibilities- Assist the Program Director in managing day‑to‑day operations of the Family Resource Center
- Oversee intake, assessments, and service planning for families
- Supervise and support front‑line staff, including hiring, training, and professional development
- Monitor program compliance with DCF guidelines and contractual obligations
- Conduct staff meetings and provide guidance on case management and service delivery
- Collaborate with community partners to enhance family support services
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of program data and outcomes
- Participate in program evaluations and audits to maintain quality standards
- Represent the Family Resource Center at community events and meetings
- Assist in crisis intervention and safety planning for families in urgent situations
- High School Diploma required.
- 1–3 years of related experience in family support or child welfare services.
- Standard Class C or D driver’s license required.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills. - Knowledge of child welfare systems and family support services.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to manage compliance and program quality standards.
- Cultural competence and trauma‑informed care approach.
- Problem‑solving and crisis management skills.
