Laundry Assistant – Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center

We are hiring full‑time Laundry Assistants to join our dynamic care team. Weekly pay at $16/hour, Monday‑Friday. As a member of our housekeeping team, you perform the day‑to‑day activities of the Laundry Department to ensure the department is clean, safe, and sanitary.

$16.00/hr (full time).

• Meet the laundry needs of the facility.
• Ensure laundry process completion and delivery of adequate linen levels, in a timely manner.
• Assure all laundry machinery and equipment are safe and efficient.
• Maintain chemicals in a safe condition at all times.
• Remove torn, worn, or soiled linen or clothing from inventory.
• Mend and iron as necessary.
• Comply with privacy practices and protect residents’ health information.
• Other duties assigned by the managerial team.

• No education required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Minimum 1 year experience in laundry operations preferred.
• The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Independent decision‑making when circumstances warrant.
• Tactful interaction with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies.
• Knowledge of laundry practices and regulations for long‑term care facilities.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non‑professional personnel.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and appearance of laundry areas; perform inspections for sanitation, order, and safety.
• Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and ability to handle residents at various maturity levels.
• Ability to seek new methods and incorporate them into laundry practices.
• Ability to relate information concerning a resident’s condition or incident.
