Swim Instructor; Part-Time

Are you passionate about aquatics? Do you enjoy teaching others swimming skills and techniques, as well as pool safety? If so, please consider applying to become a swim instructor and joining our Aquatics Team at the Tri Community Branch YMCA!

Job Responsibilities:

• Teach swimming lessons to diverse groups of people including adult members, youth, children families and those with diverse abilities.
• Create a welcoming and safe pool environment for all.
• Use appropriate equipment when necessary and report any issues with equipment to the Aquatics Director or facility personnel.
• File any reports or maintain any necessary documentation about progress for program participants.
• Attend staff trainings/meetings and maintain relevant certification related to the position.
• Other duties as necessary as assigned by the Aquatic Director/Coordinator.

Qualifications:

• Hold current Water Safety Instruction certification or be willing to become certified
• One year of experience teaching swim lessons preferred
• Must be at least 16 years old

Job Type:
Part-time Hourly

Schedule: Weekday mornings & evenings, and Weekends

Pay: $15.00 per hour. Plus access to YMCA facilities ( gym, pool ect.) for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.
