Pharmacy Customer Service Associate – Walgreens

Pay range based on skills and experience: $17.35/hr - $19.00/hr

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on assigned cash register, provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Deliver courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service; recommend items for sale; process returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Maintain clean and well‑merchandised counters and shelves; take inventory, check prices, and keep records in accordance with store manager instructions.
• Utilize pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions accurately, verify medication, check for interactions, and adhere to the Walgreens Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty immediately and comply with pharmacy error policies and the Quality Improvement Program.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist’s personal attention, including those to physicians.
• Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services efficiently and complete clerical duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager.
• Support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments; file claims for overages, shortages, or damaged goods.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain promotional displays, complete resets and revisions.
• Assist with segregation of food items, product placement, stock rotation, and use of first‑in, first‑out method.
• Provide customer service in photo and creative product areas.
• Assume web‑pickup responsibilities, monitor orders, pick items, and deliver to customers upon arrival.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, and orderly store condition.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification.
• Attend training and complete required continuing education and PPLs as directed by manager.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Six months or more experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
