Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring timely communication of any changes to the healthcare team.
• Support medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and established protocols.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support.
• Document patient information meticulously in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, maintaining compliance with medical documentation standards.
• Assist with infection control practices using aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care or wound management.
• Support emergency response efforts in acute or trauma settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or ICU environments by assisting with patient stabilization and safety measures.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state requirements.
• Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS).
• Prior experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinical
  
  Works is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of specialized care areas including geriatrics, behavioral health, pediatrics, hospice care, infectious disease management, and post-acute care.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities across various settings such as outpatient clinics or community-based programs.
• Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient service and caregiving responsibilities.
