This is an outstanding opportunity for a nurse leader who is passionate about resident-centered care, team development, and ensuring the highest quality standards in a skilled nursing environment.
As the RN Unit Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing daily nursing operations, supporting and mentoring staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring residents receive exceptional care and services in a safe, supportive environment.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday-Friday
- 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
- Participation in an on-call rotation as needed
- Supervise and coordinate nursing care within the Health Center.
- Conduct resident rounds to ensure quality care and a safe environment.
- Respond to changes in resident conditions and coordinate appropriate interventions.
- Partner with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, performance management, and staff development.
- Foster a positive team culture focused on respect, accountability, and excellent resident care.
- Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
- Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing.
- Experience with MDS, care planning, and regulatory compliance.
