Receptionist/Appointment Clerk – RadiologyJoin our friendly and dynamic Radiology Admin Team as a Receptionist / Appointment Clerk, where you'll play a key role in delivering a seamless and supportive patient experience. In this varied and rewarding role, you'll be at the heart of our service – welcoming patients and visitors, managing imaging appointment bookings, and providing essential administrative support. As the first point of contact, you'll handle enquiries both face-to-face and over the phone, ensuring every interaction is professional, efficient, and compassionate.
We're looking for someone with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, who can remain calm under pressure and build positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and clinical teams.

Main duties of the jobThe Ideal candidate will have these desired skills and attributes, but training will also be given:
- Experience in working in a patient / customer facing role.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Work accurately and calmly under pressure.
- High level of computer literacy.
- To be able to multi-task.
- Flexibility to cover colleague absence
- Flexibility to change days / hours if needed.
The role is 37.5 hours per week, We work various shifts over 7 days from Monday to Sunday, different shift patterns and weekend work applies to this role. Our department is open from 8am to 8pm, and an example of different shifts could be 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 12pm-8pm, and all shifts will be on a rota.
The role will cover 4 different reception areas and a call centre;
Main X‑Ray department, Cherry Tree Reception, Ultrasound Department, MRI department and Women's Clinic Ultrasound reception.

Qualifications- Good level of literacy based on application
- Customer Service experience
- Experience in a medical admin role
