An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Respiratory service within the Heart & Chest Clinic at Southend Hospital as an Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator.
You will be dealing directly with members of the public as well as hospital staff and will handle highly sensitive and confidential patient information.
You will require experience within an administrative role, good knowledge of Microsoft Word packages and excellent organisational skills.
Main duties of the jobIn this fast‑paced role, you'll be responsible for coordinating complex bookings, overseeing mailbox communications, preparing clinics, tracking patients through the Patient Tracking List, tracking diagnostic radiology reports, processing clinic outcomes and any other administrative tasks for the smooth running of the service. You'll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, precision and initiative.

Experience- Minimum one year experience in previous administrative role within NHS setting
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of 18‑week referral to treatment RTT
- System knowledge for Careflow, ICE, ACP
- Touch‑typing keyboard skills
- Minimum 5 GCSE or equivalent experience in similar position for 2 years
