Our Acute services here at Mid and South Essex, following investment, are now offering exciting opportunities to forward thinking, dynamic Specialty Doctor to join us to help support, develop and grow our Acute medical Services.

These roles, as Specialty Doctor, will initially support our Acute Medical Services.

You will be welcomed into an inclusive, supportive and forward thinking Trust whose core values focus on both patient care and staff wellbeing and be given encouragement to get involved in other areas of special interest with the opportunity for teaching and part time work available.

You have an idea, we listen, support, nurture and make these visions into reality., Your primary role, as our Specialty Doctor, is to provide early patient decisions with support from junior medical staff, a dedicated nursing team, procedural support practitioners and a rapid response social and therapy team.

You will work within the Acute Medical Service (AMS), supporting a team of Consultants in Acute Medicine and supporting the delivery of patient care within the Acute Medical Services in line with national standards and Care Quality Commission requirements.

The crucial parts of your role will be to provide strong clinical leadership, to promote a friendly and team based working environment, ensure regular pro-active reviews and coordination of care for our patients and become part of a seamless team responsible for providing care to medical patients admitted via Emergency Medicine, the Medical Assessment Unit and SDEC.

As one of our valued Specialty Doctors, you will engage with and contribute to Safety and National Clinical Data Collection systems as required, helping and supporting the promotion of a friendly, team based working environment in line with Trust Values and undertake managerial and budgetary responsibilities as required with mandatory involvement in appraisals on an annual basis.
