English Teacher - SEN School (Qualified or Unqualified)

Southend-on-Sea, Essex
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher (qualified or unqualified) with strong SEN experience to join a specialist SEN school in Southend, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with additional needs.

The Role
Deliver engaging and accessible English lessons tailored to students with Special Educational Needs
Work with pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
Plan and adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles and abilities
Create a supportive, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and SEN professionals
Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets

The Ideal Candidate
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential)
Passionate about inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or unqualified with strong SEN experience
Confidence in adapting curriculum and teaching strategies
Calm, resilient, and able to build positive relationships
Strong classroom management and communication skills
