Teacher Active is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school based in Westcliff-on-Sea. We are seeking a passionate and resilient Qualified Teacher to join the team from 23rd February for one full term.

The Role

As a Qualified Teacher within this SEMH setting, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs

Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges

Implement positive behaviour management strategies

Work closely with support staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders

Monitor progress and adapt teaching to support both academic and personal development

Class sizes are small, allowing for a more personalised and impactful approach to teaching.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

A calm, patient, and resilient approach

The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils

A genuine passion for inclusive education
