Teacher Active is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school based in Westcliff-on-Sea. We are seeking a passionate and resilient Qualified Teacher to join the team from 23rd February for one full term.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people who require additional emotional and behavioural support to access education.

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
• Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
• Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies
• Work closely with support staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching to support both academic and personal development
• Class sizes are small, allowing for a more personalised and impactful approach to teaching

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• A genuine passion for inclusive education
