The Role – Chef Lecturer (Temporary)

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef Lecturer who can inspire learners and bring real industry experience into the classroom and training kitchen. You will teach and assess learners up to Level 3, helping them build confidence, technical ability, and professional behaviours. This is a temporary ongoing role with an immediate start.

• Lead practical and classroom‑based sessions that reflect current industry practice.
• Support learners through assessment, feedback, and individual guidance.
• Ensure all learning environments meet high standards of safety and hygiene.
• Take part in curriculum planning and continuous improvement activities.
• Work closely with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning culture.

• A full teaching qualification and the ability to deliver up to Level 3.
• Strong, hands‑on experience as a professional chef.
• Assessor qualification (essential).
• IQA qualification (desirable).
• A commitment to learner success and professional development.
• Enhanced DBS ideally on the update system.

• £22 per hour weekly pay
• 27 hours per week Monday: 8:30am to 5:00pm Tuesday: 8:30am to 1:00pm Wednesday: 8:30am to 5:00pm Thursday: 8:30am to 2:30pm Friday: 8:30am to 10:00am
• Temporary ongoing position
• Southend based, close to public transport
