The school supports pupils across Key Stages 1–4 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside other associated learning difficulties. Many pupils require additional support to help them regulate emotions, build confidence and re-engage with learning.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people who may find mainstream education challenging.
The Role
• Providing targeted support to pupils with additional needs across the school
• Supporting students with SEMH needs, autism, speech and language difficulties and other learning barriers
• Working closely with teachers to support learning inside and outside the classroom
• Helping pupils remain engaged and motivated throughout the school day
• Providing both academic and emotional support to help students succeed
What We’re Looking For
• A patient, resilient and proactive individual
• A genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs
• Experience working with children, young people or within education is beneficial
• Backgrounds in youth work, sports coaching, care or behaviour support are also welcomed
Salary
£25,992 FTE (approximately £21,313 pro rata)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
