Role

Residential EFL Trip Teacher: immerse yourself in the complete student experience, delivering English lessons in the mornings and accompanying students on half- and full-day trips with set guided tours as part of their learning journey. This role goes beyond traditional teaching, including supervision of young people during leisure time, adherence to company policies, and maintaining high standards in line with British Council expectations.

About

the Company

Europa School of English runs summer camps for European students visiting the UK on language holidays. UK centres for 2026 will be Bournemouth, Exeter, Winchester and Southend-on-Sea. Students aged 11 to 17 travel to our centres in the UK to take part in lessons in the mornings and trips and activities in the afternoons and evenings. Students stay in residential accommodation on site.

Job Description

The role involves immersing in the complete student experience, delivering English lessons in the mornings and accompanying students on half- and full-day trips with guided tours. The role also focuses on the cultural development of students by supporting their exploration of the area. The well-being and diligent supervision of students is essential, and lessons must be conducted in accordance with company policies and the high standards set by the British Council.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 weeks’ availability (preferably more) – specific dates available during interview:
    • from 06/07/2026 until 28/08/2026 (Bournemouth)
    • from 28/06/2026 until 14/08/2026 (Winchester)
    • from 06/07/2026 until 31/07/2026 (Exeter)
    • from 06/07/2026 until 07/08/2026 (Southend-on-Sea)
  • Currently living in UK and/or eligible to work in UK.
  • University degree and a level 5 (Ofqual accredited) TEFL qualification, preferably CELTA or a TRINITY.
  • Experience and interest in working with children; an outgoing personality with the ability to lead and motivate young people.
  • 2 up-to-date references (which will be checked).
  • Safeguarding training (provided by us).
  • DBS certificate or police clearance (not older than 1 year) – paid for by us if not available.
  • First Aid Certificate (8 hours, not older than 2 years).
  • Good organisational and time-management skills, ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Sporty or creative, reliable, flexible and open-minded.
Academic Responsibilities
  • Teach English in line with our syllabus (4 lessons per day, Monday to Friday).
  • Prepare classes for different levels and manage groups effectively.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons using the Europa School of English syllabus, schemes of work, and supplementary materials.
  • Keep accurate records of work and attendance via the app.
  • Attend the paid online induction and training sessions before starting.
  • Participate in weekly teacher meetings during breaks, and teacher observations with feedback from Coordinators.
  • Engage in continuing professional development sessions as available.
  • Familiarise yourself with company policies and safeguarding and student welfare procedures.
  • Evaluate students  language knowledge and advise on self-improvement strategies.
  • Reflect on the school syllabus for developmental purposes and be aware of issues in teaching English to young learners.
  • Report student concerns (e.g., complaints, damage) to the Teaching Coordinator promptly.
Activity Responsibilities
  • Accompany and supervise students while providing guided tours, including:
  • 2 full-day trips on Saturday/Sunday
  • 1 full-day trip on Saturday/Sunday and 2 afternoon half-day trips during the week
  • Support the team with other relevant tasks and participate in activity team meetings as needed.
Remuneration
  • 450 GBP weekly.
  • Travel expenses may be paid upon agreement and dependent on location.
  • Free tea, coffee and refreshments during break times.
  • Full-board accommodation in the language centre for the duration of the contract.
