Position: Teacher of Business Studies
Location: Southend
Salary Scale: £140 - £240 per day
Contract Type: Full Time
GSL are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Business Studies to support students in a college setting. This role involves delivering high-quality Business Studies lessons and helping students develop strong commercial awareness, analytical thinking, and an understanding of business concepts and the wider economy.
You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to help students access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full academic and personal potential.
If you are an experienced teacher, Early Career Teacher (ECT), or a passionate individual with strong subject knowledge and a desire to inspire young people, we would love to hear from you.
You will have opportunities for professional development and will support students in a range of settings, including:
- Delivering engaging Business Studies lessons across a range of topics
- Supporting exam preparation and coursework development
- Monitoring and supporting student progress through targeted feedback
- Enrichment and extracurricular activities such as enterprise projects, business clubs, careers events, trips, and wider school activities
As a Teacher of Business Studies, you will play a key role in supporting students' academic progress and personal development. You will work closely with colleagues and other professionals to deliver high-quality teaching and create a positive learning environment that enables all students to succeed.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons
- Inspire students through engaging teaching of business, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship
- Prepare students for assessments and examinations
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and wider school
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and a love of learning
