The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach a variety of modules and subjects within the Art and Design field, ensuring that learners receive a comprehensive, inspiring and engaging learning experience.

You will be responsible for designing and delivering lessons, workshops and assessments that meet the needs of learners at different levels of study, ensuring they develop both practical and theoretical skills. Additionally, you will be expected to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking and independent learning.

Alongside your teaching duties, you will have course leadership responsibilities for UAL Level 3 Diploma Fashion Business and Retail Year

You will also track and monitor attendance and progress, set clear targets and provide timely feedback to help learners achieve their potential. A key part of this role will involve maintaining high levels of learner engagement and supporting their academic journey.

You will be responsible for managing the learner journey from induction to progression, supporting learners in reaching their potential and successfully completing their course.

We are looking for candidates with a relevant degree in Art, Design or a related field (or equivalent qualification), alongside significant teaching experience in a further education environment, ideally within Art and Design specialising in Fashion or Fashion Business and Retail. We also require a commitment to high‑quality teaching and learning, with the ability to inspire and motivate learners. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are vital, as you will need to build positive relationships with learners and colleagues, as well as collaborate effectively with other teaching staff and employers to enhance the curriculum.

Experience with digital platforms and learning management systems to support teaching and learning is desirable, as is knowledge of UAL qualifications in creative subjects and industry‑standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
