We’re looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a good secondary school in Southend-on-Sea.

The school is looking for someone who enjoys English and wants to help students become confident readers, writers, and communicators.

Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons.

Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level.

Help students develop their writing, reading, and analytical skills.

Encourage wider reading and discussion.

Get involved with clubs, trips, competitions, and other English activities.

We’re looking for someone who:

Has a relevant English degree and teaching qualification.

Has strong subject knowledge.

Enjoys working with young people.

Can make English engaging and accessible.

Is confident teaching GCSE, with A-Level experience being useful.

Builds positive relationships and has high expectations of students.
