Finance Manager - Leigh on Sea - Solicitors

• Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
• Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE)

Are you an experienced finance professional ready to take ownership of the full finance function?

A well-established, practising for over 100 years, yet steadily growing solicitors' are seeking a Finance Manager to lead all aspects of financial operations and reporting, due to their current head of finance approaching retirement age.

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the full finance cycle, including bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT, payroll oversight, and monthly reporting
• Preparing accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts for directors
• Managing cashflow and banking relationships
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls
• Supporting budgeting, financial planning, and strategic decision‑making
• Leading and developing finance processes and systems as the practice grows

You’ll be the go‑to finance expert in the business, enabling clarity and confidence across the organisation.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in a similar finance management position (experience in the legal sector essential)
• SAR knowlege
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confidence owning end‑to‑end finance responsibilities
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or similar) desirable
