Accounts Assistant | 3 Partner Firm | Southend-on-Sea

Our client is a growing 3 Partner firm based in Southend-on-Sea. Operating from modern offices, they pride themselves on a collaborative, five-star service culture and are dedicated to staff growth, providing a professional environment where team members are encouraged to develop their skills.

Accounts Assistant responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all client data is up to date while assisting with the preparation of VAT returns.
  • Field and respond to client enquiries across various portfolios, providing a professional and helpful experience.
  • Support the wider team with day-to-day administration, including processing supplier payments and payroll support.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to identify process improvements, contributing to the overall efficiency of the business.
As the successful candidate you will
  • Have approximately 18 months of experience in a practice environment, ideally operating at a Semi-Senior level or similar.
  • Be a proactive team player with strong foundational accounting knowledge and the desire to complete AAT Level 3.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills when managing financial records and reports.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office packages and eager to learn new accounting technologies and digital workflows.
