Volsec is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide 1:1 and 2:1 support to two young female twins in a supported living setting
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of two individuals with learning disabilities who require consistent, person-centred support to live safely and independently
Resposibilities:- Support with daily living activities
- Encourage independence and skill development
- Promote social engagement and community participation
- Follow positive behaviour support plans
- Respond appropriately to behaviours that may challenge
- Maintain accurate records and work collaboratively with families and professionals
Predominantly, the working hours are 15 hour shifts from 7am - 10pm, but you may have several hour breaks from when the twins are out participating in social activities
You will be expected to cover the occasional waking night / sleep in shift
Alternate weekend availability is essential
Requirements:- Full UK licence with access to own car
- Female applicants only due to client preference
- Confident and knowledgeable of safeguarding policies and delivering person centred care
- Experience supporting service users with learning disabilities, mental health issues, challenging behaviors
