An exciting opportunity to join the Southend Audiology department as an Audiologist. This service offers a range of adult and paediatric diagnostic and rehabilitative approaches.
You will have the opportunity to work with a range of hearing aids, using international, national and local evidence‑based best practice approaches. You will also be involved with a range of diagnostic procedures, working alongside an ENT Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join a UKAS IQIPS accredited service.
The department is very supportive and actively undertakes preceptorship programmes for newly‑qualified staff.
Main duties of the jobThe provision of a full range of diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology to adults and school‑aged children both on the acute hospital site and at peripheral clinics without supervision which will include:
- Hearing assessments for adults and older children
- Forming Individual Management Plans
- Hearing aids fitting, impressions and repairs

Person Specification Qualifications- BSc / MSc Audiology
- Knowledge of NHS Hearing aids
- HCPC/AHCA registered
- Membership of a Professional Group (BAA/BSA etc)
- Knowledge of Auditbase
- NHS Experience
- Excellent written communication demonstrated throughout application form
- Good understanding of technical process
- Good understanding of hearing aid types and application
