We are looking for an experienced Band 7 Non:
Medical Prescriber (35 hours per week) to join our specialist substance misuse service in Southend on Sea. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and confident clinician to provide expert prescribing support and holistic care for individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependence, while playing a key leadership role within a multidisciplinary team.
- Deliver evidence-based non- medical prescribing and clinical interventions.
- Manage complex drug and alcohol cases with autonomy and professionalism.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to colleagues and external partners.
- Lead on risk management, safeguarding, and medicines management.
- Support service improvement and best practice across the team.
- Mentor and develop staff while promoting a culture of continuous learning.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care.
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber.
- Strong experience within substance misuse services.
- Excellent knowledge of controlled drugs legislation and clinical governance.
- A confident leader with strong communication and decision-making skills.
- Passion for delivering person-centred, recovery-focused care.
