Job Benefits:
Outside IR35

A well known university in London is looking to recruit a Project Manager on a contract basis to start asap for an initial 6 month contract paying up to £650/day outside IR35. This will be to work on the SRS programme and requires experience of having worked on a student record system programme (SITS, Banner or Tech One).

The role is to start asap and requires 1 day on site per week minimum.

Key duties and responsibilities
  • Lead teams in the development and coordination of analysis and design documentation, including business rules, reference data, and high- and low-level design artefacts
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with external suppliers, promoting a collaborative “one team” approach across all areas of delivery
  • Manage SME and BA resources to ensure deliverables are achieved on schedule, workloads are effectively prioritised, team members are appropriately supported, and delivery momentum is maintained within demanding programme timelines
  • Collaborate with the Tech Lead and Scrum Master to estimate, prioritise, and schedule build activities
  • Maintain oversight across capabilities to ensure alignment of resources, processes, dependencies, and delivery activity
  • Represent capabilities and present build items for review and approval through the weekly Design Advisory Group and Solution Design Authority forums
  • Present updates to wider stakeholder groups through town halls, workshops, and institutional engagement sessions across the university; championing the new SRS and business, technical, process, and data-related change
  • Prepare slides for the six-weekly Programme Board and present updates to the fortnightly Delivery Group
  • Maintain the Smartsheet programme plan, ensuring capability deliverables tracked and updated on a weekly basis, coordinating with wider programme teams to incorporate technical, change, and testing activities; work closely with suppliers to ensure alignment across delivery plans
  • Produce weekly Smartsheet report, including progress updates, risks, issues, dependencies, and RAG status reporting, and communicate updates during weekly programme calls
  • The programme follows an “adopt not adapt” methodology, prioritising business change over customisation, and ensuring this model is followed and encouraged is critical to the role
  • Support the development of a community of practice with other Banner SaaS user institutions

If interested, please send me your most up to date word CV in the first instance with your availability. Interviews will take place asap later this week.
