Our clients Southend office is looking for an Account Handler to join their agile Commercial team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work directly with clients and contribute to the delivery of tailored insurance solutions across a range of commercial and personal lines.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Account Handler, your focus will be on delivering excellent client service while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Client Management: Build strong relationships, respond promptly to queries, and ensure client needs are met.
  • Policy Administration: Handle new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations accurately and on time.
  • Insurer Liaison: Work with insurers to secure favourable terms and coverage for clients.
  • Compliance: Maintain up-to-date records and adhere to FCA regulations and company standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to share knowledge, support team members, and improve service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar insurance account handling role (Personal Lines, SME, Property Owners, PI, D&O, Cyber).
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
  • Proficiency with insurance platforms and client management systems.
  • Strong understanding of compliance responsibilities, including FCA regulations and Consumer Duty.
  • CII qualification or willingness to work towards it.
  • Experience with Acturis or similar systems.
  • Client-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organised, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative and supportive team player.
