Deputy Residential Home Manager

Learning Disability Residential Service – Working Age Adults

Westcliff-on-Sea

Salary: £35,000 + Bonus & Benefits

We are actively seeking a committed and motivated Deputy Residential Home Manager to join our residential service supporting working-age adults with learning disabilities, including L4–L5 level needs.

This role is ideal for someone who wants real progression, long-term development, and the opportunity to genuinely make a difference — not just a paycheck.

About the Role

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will help lead a residential service that delivers high-quality, person-centred support. We are looking for someone with managerial experience in learning disability services who can hit the ground running, while also being open to candidates who are ready to step up into a deputy role.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re open-minded about background — you might currently be a:

  • Care Coordinator
  • Team Leader
  • Senior Support Worker / Senior Carer
  • Assistant Manager

What matters most is that you bring leadership experience, confidence in decision-making, and a genuine passion for learning disability services.

Key Requirements
  • Experience working in learning disability residential services (essential)
  • Management or leadership experience within care (essential)
  • Level 4 qualification in Health & Social Care (desirable)
  • Level 5 (or working towards) – bonus
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding
  • Ability to support, motivate and develop a staff team
  • A values-driven approach and commitment to long-term progression
