CNC Programmer & Operator

We're looking for a hands‑on CNC Programmer & Operator to take parts from design through to the shop floor—programming, setting, running and maintaining a mix of CNC and manual machines to deliver precision components, jigs, fixtures and tooling.

• Program, set and operate a 4‑Axis CNC Vertical Machining Centre plus manual machines
• Take data from the Design Team (Solid Works) and create machining strategies in CAM (VISI beneficial)
• Machine components and assemblies to drawing, tolerance and spec
• Own machine reliability: build and manage maintenance logs and service schedules
• Work closely with machine suppliers on servicing, repairs and improvements
• Select, purchase and maintain tooling; keep sensible stock of service/replacement parts
• Keep standards high on Health & Safety and safe machine use
• Stay “demo‑ready” when visitors are on site—machines running smoothly and professionally

• Strong experience programming/setting/operating CNC (plus manual machining)
• Confident reading engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances
• Solid engineering mindset with great attention to detail
• Proactive, organised, takes ownership and gets things done
• Good communication skills and comfortable with computers

• VISI CAM knowledge
• Broader experience maintaining/servicing machine tools

Full training provided on any machines/software you haven't used before.

• 8:30am‑5:00pm, 37.5 hrs/week
