Machine Operative | Southend on Sea

Shifts patterns:
Monday to Friday, 2pm–10pm OR Sunday to Thursday, 10pm–6am

We are seeking experienced Machine Operatives to join a friendly, hardworking production team. Due to ongoing growth, our client is seeking experienced operators skilled in handling specialist production equipment, including cutting and folding machinery.

• Preparation, operation, and maintenance of Polar 115/137 guillotine machines (or similar models)
• Cutting work to precise specifications while maintaining high accuracy and quality standards

• Preparation, operation, and maintenance of folding equipment such as T800, T500, T72 and B123 machines
• Carrying out parallel, cross, and signature folding to a high standard

• Ensuring all work meets production deadlines
• Maintaining excellent quality across all output
• Keeping machinery clean, safe, and well maintained
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the production team

• Previous experience in print finishing (preferred) or machine operation is (essential)
• Ability to operate and maintain guillotines and/or folding machinery
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced production environment
