We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's leading production companies based in Southend-on-Sea. We are looking for a Trainee Machine Operator with a hands‑on production or machine background to join a busy, high‑volume night shift team. Full role‑specific training will be provided, but you must be able to hit the ground running with your existing experience.

• Operating and monitoring production machinery in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
• Setting up, loading and unloading machines ready for each production run
• Carrying out basic machine checks and routine maintenance tasks
• Inspecting finished output to ensure it meets quality and specification standards
• Reporting any faults, stoppages or quality issues to your supervisor promptly
• Keeping your work area clean, tidy and compliant with health & safety guidelines
• Supporting the wider production team to hit output targets and deadlines

• Previous experience in a production, manufacturing or machine operating role is essential
• Confident working with and around industrial machinery
• Good attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and output
• Ability to work at pace and stay focused throughout a night shift
• Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
