Sheet Metal Fabricator - Nights Basildon, Essex Night Shift £18.59 per hour  Shift Allowance We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join a precision engineering and manufacturing environment supplying high-quality components to demanding industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacture and fabricate sheet metal components from complex engineering drawings. Set up and operate machinery including brake presses, rubber presses, guillotines and band saws. Measure, mark out and inspect parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Carry out general sheet metal duties including deburring, drilling, forming and calculating bend allowances. Work primarily with aluminium, with occasional mild steel and stainless steel.

Perform shaping and forming processes including stretch forming, shrinking and flattening materials. Maintain strict adherence to quality, health & safety and manufacturing procedures. Requirements:
Previous experience within precision engineering, aerospace, automotive or a similar manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings independently. Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques and sheet metal manufacturing processes. Experience using a range of hand tools and fabrication machinery. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
