CNC Setter Operator
Location: Southend-on-Sea
Salary: £30,000 – £36,500 per annum
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am–1:00pm
A world-leading aerospace component manufacturer is looking for a CNC Setter Operator Miller to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Milling professional with strong Mazak machining experience
, who can confidently work from engineering drawings and manufacture high-quality, small-batch aerospace components to tight tolerances.
As a CNC Setter Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating milling machinery and producing components accurately and efficiently to customer and engineering requirements.
Duties- Setting and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture small-batch components from engineering drawings
- Working to tight tolerances and agreed production timescales
- Setting a variety of machine tools for operators when required
- Using a wide range of precision measuring equipment to inspect components
- Ensuring manufactured components are correctly protected and prepared for transit
- Mentoring and supporting new members of staff where required
- Completing all manufacturing paperwork accurately and correctly
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping throughout the manufacturing process
- Extensive Milling experience is essential
- Proven skills setting and operating CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Confident using precision measuring equipment
- Experience working to tight tolerances
- Mazak machining centre experience would be highly advantageous
- Ability to work confidently with both Metric and Imperial measurements
- Aerospace manufacturing experience is preferred
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English would be advantageous
- Ideally, you will have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship and relevant additional training courses
- £30,000 – £36,500 salary, depending on experience
- Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm and Friday 8:00am–1:00pm
