Landscape Gardener

Location: Southend-on-Sea

Landscape Gardener required to work around the Southend area.

Please note:

Monday to Friday and you must have your own transport and site-based outdoor work.

The role:

We are looking for a reliable Landscape Gardener to undertake landscaping and garden maintenance projects across Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding areas. Working on residential and commercial properties, you will help create and maintain attractive outdoor spaces, completing work to a high standard and providing a professional service to customers.

Key responsibilities:

* Prepare ground, improve soil and lay turf. Plant trees, shrubs, flowers and hedges. Carry out mowing, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding and general garden maintenance.

* Assist with hard landscaping, including patios, paving, fencing, decking and garden edging. Use gardening tools and powered equipment safely.

* Load, unload and move materials, keeping work areas clean and tidy.

* Follow project instructions and agreed schedules.

* Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.

* Follow health and safety procedures and report equipment faults.

Essential skills and experience:

* Proven previous experience in landscaping, gardening or grounds maintenance.

* A practical understanding of planting, lawn care and seasonal maintenance.

* Experience using common gardening tools and machinery safely.

* Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.

* Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work independently or within a team.

* Ability to undertake the physical duties of the role, with reasonable adjustments where appropriate.

* Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

* Ability to travel to sites across Southend and surrounding areas.

* A full UK driving licence, particularly where driving a company vehicle is required.
