Assessment & Intervention Social Worker

Pay Rate: £38.00 per hour

Southend Council is recruiting an experienced Assessment & Intervention (A&I) Social Worker to join their busy frontline service.

You will complete statutory assessments, manage duty responsibilities and work closely with families to ensure timely and effective interventions. The role requires flexibility around office attendance depending on the team's needs.

Role Requirements:

Must be an experienced A&I Social Worker
Minimum 2 days on site (may vary depending on team needs)
Must drive and have access to a vehicle
Social workers must attend the office during duty week and remain available for backup duty in the two following weeks (approx. 1-2 office days)

Essential Requirements:

Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
Social Work England Registration
Driving licence and access to own vehicle
