Equipment , Adaptations Service Store Person - Temporary

Location: Southend-On-Sea

Your new role Southend City Council are looking to appoint an equipment and adaptations Service Store person for a full-time temporary role. The main purpose of the role is to provide prompt and efficient delivery, monitoring, servicing, and collection of items of equipment and minor adaptations. Accurately account for stock received, issued, stored and returned. Clean, inspect, service/maintain previously issued items.

Ensure correct administration and legislative policies and procedures and systems fully meet the council requirements. Receive, unpack, count and label products delivered to the unit.

After appropriate instruction/training, carry out simple maintenance and servicing of products using hand/power tools where required. Including inspecting items of equipment to ensure they are safe for re-issue and deliver/collect and fit/remove items of equipment. To drive a transit delivery van. A driving licence is essential for this position . You will be required to undergo the Fleet Vechle Driving Test and will have training provided to become an authorised Fork Lift Truck Operator.

What you'll need to succeed To be shortlisted for this position, you must have a driving licence. It is essential that you have previous experience of customer service and have dealt with stock/warehouse inventory. It would be beneficial to have knowledge and experience of issues relating to disability, technology and/or equipment to assist people with disabilities, along with experience of health and social care.
