Bilingual Director of Staffing & Training for Express Employment Professionals-RTP/Durham, NC

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing firm. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of business clients, including bookkeeping, payroll processing, sales and operational tax compliance, and financial reporting. This is a client-facing role that requires both technical proficiency and strong relationship management skills.

• Manage monthly bookkeeping and reconciliation for multiple small to mid-sized business clients
• Process full-cycle payroll, including tax filings, benefits deductions, and compliance reporting
• Prepare and file sales tax, franchise tax, and other operational business tax returns
• Produce accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports and dashboards for clients
• Analyze financial statements and communicate insights and trends to clients
• Serve as the primary accounting point of contact for assigned clients
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (non-income tax related)
• Maintain accurate client records in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books Online, Xero, Gusto)
• Support process improvements to increase accounting efficiency and accuracy

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting or client services environment
• Proficiency with Quick Books Online, Excel, payroll software, and accounting systems
• Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Familiarity with sales tax, payroll tax, and franchise tax compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• CPA or EA preferred but not required
• Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000 (based on experience and credentials)
