Certified Medical Assistant/LPN to provide clinical and administrative support in a health-care Setting working alongside physicians and other health-care professionals.
ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties:
* Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including taking and documenting vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
* Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
* Administer medications and injections as directed by a physician, adhering to all safety protocols and proper documentation.
* Collect laboratory specimens (urine, throat cultures, etc.).
* Perform basic diagnostic tests (e.g., EKG, point-of-care testing).
* Cleaning and maintain exam rooms.
* Triage patient calls and messages, addressing concerns or escalating to the appropriate provider.
* Manage prescription refills and prior authorizations.
Administrative Duties:
* Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
* Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
* Answer phones, direct calls, and take messages.
* Manage incoming/outgoing faxes.
* Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
* Perform general office duties as assigned.
CMA:
Active certification required must be from a nationally recognized CMA certification program to be considered
LPN :
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
