RN Supervisor – Monday‑Friday, 3pm‑11pm
Penick Village Inc. Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) is seeking a compassionate, professional and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. We are currently hiring Full time, Part time and PRN.
Coordination of care must be carried out in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the DON/designee to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
As an RN Supervisor, you will supervise residents’ care and assist the healthcare team with clinical oversight, quality assurance and performance improvement activities as needed. You will oversee clinical staff including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Med Techs and Med Aides in accordance with policies and procedures and state nurse practice acts. You will act in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure that the highest quality of resident care and safety is maintained.
Job Duties And Responsibilities- Managing assigned area in a manner consistent with the organization's mission, values, goals and objectives to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.
- Interpreting and communicating facility and nursing department missions and resident/patient care standards to staff, residents/patients and family members.
- Creating a conducive environment for continuity of care, staff development and job satisfaction.
- Serving as Assistance Responder for Independent Living Residents.
- Serving as a liaison between family members and staff communicating changes in resident status, new orders and interventions implemented to maintain optimal level of care.
- Supervising licensed and unlicensed personnel.
- Assisting with staffing needs.
- Providing in‑services and mandatory training of new and existing associates as needed.
- Monitoring all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts etc. to ensure they are documented in an informative and descriptive manner.
- Completing medication and chart audits per schedule.
- Monitoring medication carts for cleanliness, expired medication and other areas as assigned.
- Assisting with daily stand‑up reports and following up on necessary items.
- Visiting scheduled residents on a weekly basis and documenting visits.
- Monitoring medication passes for compliance with regulations.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
- Valid NC RN License.
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience.
- Minimum 2 years managerial experience.
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory compliance.
- Current American Heart BLS CPR Certification.
