We’re seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant with construction industry experience to join our team. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy across multiple projects and supporting the overall success of our construction operations. If you have a strong accounting background and enjoy working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll.
• Manage financial reporting and budgeting for construction projects.
• Track project costs and compare to budgets to ensure cost control.
• Review and process subcontractor invoices and vendor payments.
• Coordinate with project managers to review budgets, forecasts, and billing schedules.
• Prepare and submit owner billings (AIA documents or similar formats).
• Generate and maintain monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reports to monitor project performance and revenue recognition.
• Maintain contract documentation, including change orders, purchase orders, and lien waivers.
• Ensure compliance with prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting requirements, when applicable.
• Reconcile job cost reports and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with monthly closings and project audits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (highly preferred) or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role
• Strong understanding of construction job costing, contracts, and billing
• Experience with AIA billing and WIP reporting is strongly preferred
