This mid‑sized nonprofit organization in the manufacturing and education sector is seeking a contract‑to‑hire Tax Accountant to manage tax compliance across multiple entities (including nonprofit filings), support month‑end close, and partner closely with leadership to strengthen reporting, systems, and audit readiness.

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local returns (including nonprofit filings).
• Support audits, reconciliations, and monthly close.
• Research new tax regulations and improve internal processes.
• Partner with the Controller and CFO on special projects and reporting initiatives.

• Have 2–5 years of tax experience (public accounting preferred).
• Hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA‑eligible a plus).
• Enjoy variety and want exposure to both nonprofit and for‑profit entities.
• Take pride in accuracy, organization, and continuous learning.
