Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our local Detroit, MI clients. Opportunities vary from project-based to full-time open positions. Pay, location (Metro Detroit), and schedule depend on client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Prepare and send invoices, statements, and payment reminders.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process incoming payments and apply them accurately to customer accounts.
  • Generate aging reports and assist with month‑end closing activities.
  • Communicate with clients regarding billing issues and payment status.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve disputes and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP experience a plus).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
