Responsibilities- LMA (Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable):
Lead, manage and hold self and others accountable in line with MRPR Core Values. - Own the client engagement
:
Manage engagements; build long‑term relationships; understand client culture and business; structure teams to meet client expectations. - Complete technical oversight
:
Experience in accounting systems and controls; tax research, planning and compliance; supervise the work of others; knowledge and application of firm systems and processes. - Identify and pursue business development opportunities
:
Identify opportunities with existing clients; develop new client contacts; engage in networking activities to drive growth. - Team career development
:
Promote a learning environment; guide, support, and coach team members; build empowered, diverse teams; develop career paths for growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent;
Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus. - CPA certification or Enrolled Agent credential is required.
- 6+ years of experience in public accounting.
- Strong accounting background, including payroll and account reconciliations.
- Experience in business and individual taxation.
- Supervisory, training, and leadership skills; ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of:
- Accounting software applications – Quick Books is a plus.
- Tax research database and planning tools (CCH, Checkpoint, BNA or comparable).
- Tax compliance software (Axcess Tax or comparable).
- Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat.
