Accountant, Financial Reporting, Bookkeeper​/ Accounting Clerk

• Process check payments accurately and in accordance with company policies and approval requirements.
• Record and apply cash receipts, research payment discrepancies, and support timely account updates.
• Prepare and complete general ledger account reconciliations.
• Prepare and post recurring and nonrecurring journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Analyze prepaid expense and accrual accounts, prepare supporting schedules, and record monthly adjustments.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to ensure deadlines are met.
• Investigate account variances and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Maintain organized accounting records and support internal and external audit requests.
• Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.
• Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Three to five years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Experience with accounts payable, cash receipts, account reconciliations, journal entries, prepaids, and accruals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with an accounting or enterprise resource planning system.
