FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including affiliates in 14 of the top 15 largest DMAs and 11 duopoly markets. The stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news weekly and distribute sports, entertainment, and syndicated content.

Producer showcases compelling content to engage viewers. Responsibilities include writing accurate stories, building graphics, editing video, leading live broadcasts, and timing shows. The role demands strong journalistic standards, broadcast production techniques, and the ability to work in a busy, constantly changing environment.

• Write clear, compelling, accurate stories for broadcast and linear content.
• Organize news stories in a logical, interesting pattern that keeps viewers engaged.
• Lead crew through live broadcasts in the control room, managing timing and smooth execution.
• Demonstrate strong writing, communication, and news judgment skills, understanding what makes good newscasts.
• React quickly during breaking news, accept feedback, and learn new techniques and technology.
• Show leadership and foster a teamwork and family mentality within the crew.

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field required.
• Experience as a News Writer or News Producer in a medium to large market considered a major plus.
• Working knowledge of Metro Detroit’s history and geography considered a major plus.
