Associate Worship Director

Title: Associate Worship Director/Pastor

Reports to: Worship Pastor

Purpose: To assist the Worship Pastor in leading and organizing the worship ministry of Grace Way Bible Church, in addition to leading worship within Grace Way Students.

• Assist with the planning and leading of Sunday morning worship gatherings.
• Provide theological guidance with the Worship Pastor in song selection, but also in ministerial vision and philosophy.
• Support all volunteer recruitment, development, and communication efforts (i.e. vocal, instrumentalist, tech, media, videography, lighting, and general production).
• Assist with the planning of special worship services including, but not limited to, Good Friday, Easter, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Concert.
• Assist with the technical and media support for live streaming (sound, lighting, video projection) and collaborate to improve all technical aspects of Sunday morning services.
• Assist with scheduling Worship Team members on Planning Center and conduct weekly rehearsals preparing for Sunday morning gatherings by working with different ensembles like choir, orchestra, vocalists and band.
• Collaborate with the technical team to ensure proper sound mixing, volume levels, and lighting schemes.
• Assist and support the Worship Ministry in general production for all services and music arrangements as needed.
• Lead and direct Sunday worship services and prayer meetings when needed.
• Collaborate with other members of the Pastoral Staff, Support Staff, and other ministry leaders to accomplish the mission and vision of HPBC.
• Assume other duties as assigned by the Worship Pastor when needed.

• Lead a Student Worship Ministry that partners with families to reach kids with the Gospel of Christ and raise them for His glory, primarily through the ministry of music.
• Coordinate with the Student Ministry to establish a connection with the Worship Ministry to develop a natural connection between generations.
• Work with the Student Worship Team, helping them develop as musicians and vocalists but also in their spiritual growth.
• Lead rehearsals and worship for HPBC Students on Wednesday evenings.
• Disciple, recruit, and empower students and adults both spiritually and musically to lead and serve on Wednesdays.
• Lead worship for student retreats and facilitate creative direction (i.e. themes, stage design, session elements, and service orders).
• Mentoring students interested or serving in worship.
• Cooperate within the Student and Family Ministries Team to accomplish larger events such as retreats, camps, mission opportunities, and VBS.
• Attend weekly Student Ministries planning meetings.
• Meet weekly with Student Ministry Director.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Student Ministry Director.

• Maintain a vital and growing walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, meditation, and fellowship.
• Maintain proper spiritual priorities.
• Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
• Faithfully support the ministries of the church through stewardship of spiritual gifts, finances, and time.
• Participate in the overall life of the church, setting an example of servant leadership that spreads beyond your areas of ministry responsibility to the broader body of the church.
