OBGYN Hospitalist

Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital has an excellent full-time opportunity for a Board Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist to join the Obstetrics and Gynecology team.

We are looking for an individual who values evidence-based care with a strong emphasis on patient safety and resident education. Our Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist physician will work assigned shifts (12-13 hours) to function, in conjunction with nursing leadership, as the clinical supervisor in labor and delivery, the gynecology unit, operating room and emergency department.

• Act as on-site clinical director of Labor & Delivery with collaboration of the Director of Obstetrics, Director of Obstetric Nursing and Chairman of the Department.
• Supervise the care of resident clinic patients and patients without an attending physician.
• Attend and supervise the care and deliveries of patients whose attending obstetrician isn’t available.

The institution also has multiple other resources to help you that include 24 hour OB Anesthesia coverage, a special care nursery with onsite neonatal nurse practitioners, a full trauma service, and a fully staffed intensive care unit.

The Institution is a core clinical site for Michigan State University College of Human Medicine (MSU CHM) and has affiliations with the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. As a major teaching hospital, you will have the opportunity to enhance both your clinical and teaching skills through interaction with medical students and residents.

You will be eligible for an academic appointment with MSU CHM giving you access to all the resources of a Big Ten University. We also have a Department Research Committee designed to assist all our Faculty with any academic interests they wish to pursue.
