We are seeking a compassionate and skilled PM&R Physician to join our clients interdisciplinary medical team. This role focuses on providing comprehensive care to patients with physical impairments or disabilities caused by injury, illness, or chronic medical conditions. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to restoring function, improving mobility, and enhancing quality of life for a diverse patient population treating each individual as a whole person, not just a diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with musculoskeletal, neurologic, and functional impairments.
  • Develop individualized, patient-centered rehabilitation plans.
  • Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers.
  • Perform procedures such as EMGs, joint and ultrasound-guided injections.
  • Manage acute and chronic pain through non-surgical techniques.
  • Track patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, care plans, and recovery goals.
  • Maintain timely, accurate electronic medical records.
  • Participate in clinical team meetings and quality improvement efforts.
  • Optionally, supervise advanced practice providers (NPs/PAs).
Qualifications:
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited program.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in Michigan.
  • DEA licensure.
  • Fellowship training in pain medicine, sports medicine, spinal cord injury, brain injury, or musculoskeletal medicine is a plus.
Preferred

Skills:
  • Proficiency in EMG/NCS and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, or interventional pain procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.
