Family medicine doctors are your one-stop provider for health care. The practice of family medicine is different from internal medicine and pediatrics in that family medicine doctors are trained to care for people of all ages. Many people see their family medicine doctors for their entire lives.

When you have a specific health issue, your family medicine doctor helps connect you to the right specialist. They manage your care before, during, and after any specialty appointment to make sure you get the care you need.

Doctors who practice family medicine provide a wide range of services for you and your whole family. Family medicine doctors have additional training in such specialty areas as obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, dermatology, behavioral medicine and pediatrics. Although, some Henry Ford family medicine doctors do not see pediatric patients younger than 5 years.

Family Practice experience a plus. Prior authorization experience strongly preferred.

Provides care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license.

There are 3 providers to support at this location (also has MA's to assist with patient cate)

• Contributes to the assessment of patients and assures the well-being of patients.
• Administers medications and observes patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
• Performs laboratory tests and therapeutic services.
• Educates patients/families about disease treatment plan including self-care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care.
• Provides care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license.
• Rooming Patients, patient prep, intake, vitals, coordination of care, workflows, etc.
• Supports the provider.
• Manages in basket, call backs, education, relaying test results, etc.
• Patient population has a high senior citizen status - must have patience and professionalism while communicating/treating.

40 hours a week Monday-Friday 8-hour shift scheduled between 8AM-5PM no weekends / No holidays - (some flexibility with start/stop times)

Full-Time

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• 1+ years as an LPN working in a clinic/office setting

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
